Curriculum reform can only reflect the significance of reform only by arousing the changes at the school level. The carrier of such a fundamental change is the course itself. The development and implementation of school-based curriculum based on regional characteristics, school-based reality and students’ interests and needs are the responsibility and right of schools under the new curriculum. It is also the most powerful action guarantee for promoting curriculum reform. Our school is named after Mr. Chu Di-wen, an American physicist and Nobel laureate who is an ancestor of Taicang. Since the establishment of the school, the school has upheld the scientific spirit of Mr. Steven Chu, “Accumulate everything, Pursue Excellence, Exploring and Discovering, Practicing Creation” and conducted a series of explorations on astronomy, environmental protection and technological innovation.
