The National Institutes of Health announced a Phase I clinical trial to launch a vaccine against all mosquito-borne diseases called AGS-v. Mosquitoes carry and spread a variety of pathogens, such as the Zika epidemic that erupted before, as well as dengue fever, malaria, and yellow fever. By biteing humans, mosquitoes cause billions of people to become infected every year. Scientists have long wanted a vaccine that will fight all these infections.
