One of the world’s three largest pump manufacturing companies, KSB is a world-renowned modern manufacturer of pumps. Founded in 1871, KSB has more than 130 years of pump manufacturing experience. KSB is an international company with more than 30 wholly-owned or joint-venture plants around the world. The hard work of more than 12,500 employees has given the company tremendous success. Pump operating costs include not only the initial acquisition cost of the pump, but also by a number of other factors. Therefore, the total cost of running the pump during its life cycle must be given full consideration. In general, the pump life cycle depends on the field of application and regular routine maintenance. The life of a water supply pump is typically between 25 and 30 years (under normal environmental conditions); the life of a flood and flood pump can be as long as 50 years; and the sewage pump is typically around 20 years old. Routine routine maintenance refers to the coating, bearings, shaft seals and washers overhaul work. Spare parts for the best use of the same brand of products. In addition, the material selection is correct or not and some special design features will also affect the pump life. For a pump with a life cycle of 50 years, the following costs will be incurred in order for the pump to operate normally: electricity costs, maintenance costs, service fees, downtime fees, re-commissioning costs, spare parts costs and initial purchase costs. Even if only consider the service life of 25 years, pump acquisition costs in the initial only a small proportion of the total cost. For example, a pump running at 200,000 hours in 25 years must include investment costs, energy costs, installation costs, maintenance costs, and downtime costs. For owners, they use pumps to make money. Every cubic meter of water means wealth, and downtime means loss of wealth.
