十堰市郧西县地处鄂西北边陲,鄂陕交界处,辖18个乡镇(场、区)、348个村(居)委会,其中1个民族乡和4个民族村,有回族、苗族等少数民族5500余人。为进一步加快少数民族村的发展,切实改善少数民族聚居村的生产生活条件,自2004年以来,郧西县委、县政府组织财政局、民政局等10个县直部门对口帮扶民族村。10年接力,10年帮扶,共投入资金2090万元,实施村级阵地建设、公路建设、人饮工程、危房改造、产业发展、环境整治等几十个经济和社会发展项目,为民族村办成了一件件、一桩桩看得见、摸得着的好事和实事。
