EDS定量微分析越来越多的被用于生物医学领域,EDS定量微分析的准确性,主要取决于是否有适合的标样,对于生物EDS定量微分析来说,标样的选择及获得较困难,考虑到吸收,荧光和原子序数修正带来的问题,许多专家趋于使用有机薄膜标样。现在国外发展的薄标样主要有树脂——18冠醚6、Gelatine及Naphthenate,但这三种薄标样均存在着难以克服的缺陷:树脂——18冠醚6薄标样在均匀度方面还存在着争论;Gelatine标样的线性范围很小;Naphthenate的线性区很小,稳定性极差,因此,生物标样的研制一直未有突破。
