一、现状 一些理工科院校公共英语教学目前所使用的训练方式分为听力训练,泛读课和精读课。这样一些教学方式对于培养学生运用英语的能力和提高阅读速度是有利的。但是这些课在进行过程中基本上排斥了分析翻译,完全否定了翻译检查有助于加深理解和促进记忆的作用,因而学生对语言难点,对长句难句的确切理解能力是不高的。兼之现行的划圈打勾的考试办法更助长了许多学生不求甚解的趋向。在这样的情况下自然谈不上把翻译能力的培养放在适当的位置上了。据《教学大纲修订组》向有关学
