新疆生产建设兵团目前为中国最大的国营单位,人们称之为“中国计划经济的最后一艘航母”。在21世纪的中国,这一特殊的群体被历史停滞了,他们的存在,以及使之存在的组织的存在与市场化了的中国似乎已格格不入。而面对现实的困境,他们的这一存在却仍在继续。兵团人对兵团和土地产生了怀疑,兵团戍边的基础也开始有所动摇。这个拥有250多万人的庞大组织究竟路在何方,发人深思。
Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is currently China’s largest state-owned unit, which people call “the last aircraft carrier in China’s planned economy.” In China in the 21st century, this particular group has been stalled by history.
