在20世纪后20年,发展经济,消除贫困,是全世界特别是发展中国家面临的共同课题和尖锐挑战。据联合国开发计划署统计,在近20年中,世界经济不断发展,社会财富不断增加,但贫困问题非但没有因此减少,反而日趋恶化。世界上不发达的贫困国家从27个增加到48个,5年里绝对贫困人口从10亿增加到13亿,并仍以每年2500万的速度迅速增加。
In the second half of the 20th century, economic development and the eradication of poverty are common topics and sharp challenges that the entire world, especially the developing countries, are facing. According to the statistics of the United Nations Development Program, in the past 20 years, with the continuous development of world economy and increasing social wealth, the problem of poverty has not only been reduced, but has deteriorated on the contrary. The number of poor and underdeveloped countries in the world increased from 27 to 48, and the absolute poverty population increased from one billion to 1.3 billion in five years and is still rapidly increasing at a rate of 25 million annually.
