Labor Law of the People's Republic of China was adopted on July 5, 1994 at the 8th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress; on July 5 of the same year, it was promulgated by Order No. 28 of the President of the People's Republic of China. The Labor Law consists of 13 chapters and 107 articles in total, which came into force on January 1, 1995. Since the promulgation of the Labor Law, it has spanned 10 years.
