由于大功率硅正流元件的大量供应,促进了弧焊整器的发展。在六十年代末七十年代初的那几年中,国内弧焊整流器的年产量达到5000余台,为弧焊发电机年产量的50%左右。但是用户对弧焊整流器的反映却一直不好,主要是焊接性能不好:引弧冲击大、飞溅大、暴躁、电流不稳定、铁水流动性差,易受电网电压波动的影响等等。于是在许多电焊机制造厂中纷纷缩小甚至停止弧焊整流器的生产。不少厂重新扩大弧焊发电机的生产。
