爱民重民、民为邦本是中国文化的优良传统、是中国道德文化的重要组成部分。民本思想在中国历史上起了重要的作用，它直接构成马克思主义唯物史观在中国传播和被接受的“民族文化土壤”。中国共产党人批判地继承了民本思想的合理因素，形成了独具特色的群众路线，并使全心全意为人民服务成为共产主义道德基本规范。
It is the fine tradition of Chinese culture that people love the people and pay attention to the people and the people are the important part of the Chinese moral culture. The people-based ideology played an important role in Chinese history. It directly constituted the “soil of ethnic culture” that was spread in China and accepted by Marxist historical materialism. The Chinese Communists have critically inherited the rational elements of the people-based thinking, formed a distinctive mass line and made serving the people wholeheartedly the basic norms of communist morality.
