4月29日,教育部第九届职工运动会在北京奥林匹克体育中心举行,田径场新铺上了蓝色的跑道。57岁的我,参加了男子40岁以上组1500米项目,获得第一名。运动会每两年举办一次,中间由于“非典”停办了一次,从首届到今年的第九届,时间跨度为20年。20年前的1994年,我由外地调到教育部高教社工作。每次开运动会,社里都组织大家一起前往观看,为参加比赛的同事加油。2012年4月举办的第八届运动会,我照例坐在观众席上。从来没有想过,有那么一天,我会参加某项比赛。就在那一年的初夏,过了55岁的我,为了锻炼身体,开始了跑步。3月中旬的一天,我出差在外地,工会主席给我打电话说,听说你平时跑步,这次部里运动会,给你报了名,请你参加40岁以上组的1500米比赛。他还说,只要你跑完,肯定有名次。为了备战,社里在4月的每周一三五下午,组织选手去北师大训练。
On April 29, the 9th Workers’ Games of the Ministry of Education was held at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center, and the track and field was newly covered with a blue runway. 57-year-old I participated in the men’s 40-year-old group 1500 meters project, won the first place. In the early summer of that year, I was 55 years old and started running to exercise. One day in mid-March, I was on a business trip in the field. The president of the union called me and said I heard you usually run. This part-time sports meeting will give you a name and invite you to participate in the 1500-meter race for those over 40. He also said that as long as you finished, there must be ranking. In preparation for the war, the society organizes training to Beijing Normal University in the afternoon of January 15 every April.
