购水族箱淡水龟喜欢生活在水里,所以可用水族箱进行饲养。水族箱一般为长方形,大小因龟的个头和数量而定。通常,一只5厘米长的淡水龟,需要一个底部为30厘米×30厘米的水族箱。放置岩石淡水龟除了需要水域游泳,还喜欢经常晒太阳。因此,水族箱内应当放上一块扁平的岩石,且要露出水面,使龟能爬到上面晒太阳。建造沙滩应在水族箱内用卵石或者细砾建造一个人工沙滩,以免淡水龟因长期待在水中而被淹死。
