据史料考证，英德一带产饮苦丁茶已有２０００余年的历史，产饮传统茶也可以追溯到唐代（也可能先于唐代）。但真正步入快速发展和实现规模经营的还只是本世纪５０年代末至８０年代末这３０年左右时间。所以英德是我国古老而又新兴的茶区。
According to historical research, the production of bitter tea in Yingde area has a history of more than 2,000 years. Traditional tea production and drinking can also be traced back to the Tang Dynasty (or possibly to the Tang Dynasty). However, it has only been about 30 years since the late 1950s and the late 1980s that China really entered a period of rapid development and the realization of its scale of operation. Therefore, Britain and Germany is China’s ancient and emerging tea district.
