角竹是1983年定名的刚竹属新种,原产浙江省上虞市长塘乡,1984年3月11日我市从长塘乡引种282株母竹在大隐镇芝林村落户,种植5.3亩,当年成活率94.7%,经过九年种植,全市已发展到267亩。实践证明,它具有竹笋产量高(亩产鲜笋2500公斤),笋期长(5月上旬—6月中旬),笋味营养好(含人体所需的16种氨基酸),经济效益高(经管好的林地亩产值4000—5000元)。角竹已成为我市群众喜爱的优良笋用竹种,它增加了竹笋品种,延长了供笋期。但从1993年4月上旬开始,我市的大隐、黄家埠、马渚、三七市、四明山、梁弄、丈亭、梁辉等
