台湾高山地区气候与低海拔平原地区差异大,自从东西横贯公路开通以来,以梨山为中心已开辟约六千公顷的果园种植温带果树。这地区位于水库集水区上游、地势峻峭加以雨水特多,土壤冲刷严重,所以果园经营特别注意水土保持。台湾大学陈中、康有德发表《九种果园覆盖作物在台湾山区之生长与覆盖效果》论文,现简报如下:
Taiwan’s mountainous region has a large difference in climate and low-altitude plains. Since the opening of the east-west cross-roads, about 6,000 hectares of orchards have been planted with temperate fruit trees centered on Mount Lisha. This area is located in the upper reaches of the reservoir catchment, steep terrain to be particularly rain, soil erosion serious, so the orchard management with particular attention to soil and water conservation. Taiwan University Chen Zhong and Kang Youde published the essay “The Growth and Covering Effect of Nine Orchards Covered Crops in Taiwan’s Mountainous Areas,” which are as follows:
