1998年夏天发生了长江、嫩江、松花江的特大洪水灾害,在这场惊心动魄的殊死搏斗中,新闻舆论发挥了前所未有的引导作用,特别是《人民日报》从8月9日至9月8日,以“本报评论员”的名义,不间断地发表评论员文章,做到了一个月里一日一篇评论员文章,从而开创《人民日报》登载评论员文章的新记录,打了一场漂亮的新闻评论攻坚战。作为这些评论的开篇——《当前头等大事》更是打响了头一炮,因而获得第九届“中国新闻奖”的特别奖,它的确是当之无愧的。
In the summer of 1998, extraordinary floods in the Yangtze River, Nenjiang River and Songhua River took place. In this soul-stirring desperate struggle, the news media played an unprecedented guiding role. In particular, the People’s Daily reported that from August 9 to September 8 , Published commentators’ articles uninterruptedly in the name of “newspaper commentator” and accomplished a commentator’s article one day a month, thus creating a new record in “People’s Daily” articles published by commentators and playing a Beautiful news commentary fight tough. As the opening of these commentary - “the top priority event” was the first shot hit, it won the special award of the ninth “China News Award”, it really deserved.
