晋东南公路总段重视智力开发,全段95％的职工参加业务培训,95名职工被选派到厦门大学、西安公路学院等大中专院校深造学习,提高了职工的文化技术素质,加快了公路建设步伐。晋东南公路总段共有职工2,126名,30％是五十年代参加工作的老职工,70％是经过十年内乱走上工作岗位的青工,大都文化程度低,技术素质差。从1980年以来,段党委从长计议,把提高职工文化技术水平作为振兴公路事业的一件根本大事,通过各种渠道抓了这项工作。首先,每年都利用冬闲季节,由各基层段、队举办全体职工参加的技术培
95% of the staff in the entire segment participated in the business training and 95 employees were selected to go to colleges and universities of Xiamen University and Xi’an Highway College to further their study, which has enhanced the cultural and technical qualifications of workers and accelerated the Highway construction pace. There are 2,126 employees in the total section of the highway in southeastern Shanxi. 30% are old workers who took part in the work in the 1950s. 70% are young workers who have embarked on jobs after 10 years of civil strife. Most of them have a low level of education and poor technical qualifications. Since 1980, the Party committee of the Segment has taken this proposal from various sources for its consideration of the issue of improving the cultural and technical level of its staff and workers as a fundamental task of rejuvenating the road work.
