转运使是中国古代官职,宋朝设置了转运司、提举常平司、提点刑狱司等,统称“监司”。转运司是联系中央财政与地方财政的中介,起上情下达、下情上达的作用。宋代的转运使专管盐务,两淮都转盐运使司的长官称两淮都转盐运使,或运司使。转运司在两宋时期对推动国家经济发挥过重要作用。本文探讨我国两宋时期转运司和盐业的关系。
