江泽民同志提出的中国共产党要“始终代表中国先进文化的前进方向” ,具有先进性、创新性和人民性三个显著特征 ,发展了马克思主义建党学说 ,是党的性质和任务的根本要求 ,是中国共产党 80多年历史经验的科学总结 ,是对新时期党的先进性的新概括 ;其科学内涵包括发展中国特色社会主义的文化、加强社会主义思想道德建设、继承和借鉴人类一切优秀文化成果和加强社会主义精神文明建设等内容 ;这一论断 ,树起了党在思想上精神上保持先进性的旗帜 ,升华了马克思主义的文化导向论
Comrade Jiang Zemin proposed that the Communist Party of China should “always represent the advancing direction of China’s advanced culture” and possess three distinctive features: advancedness, innovation and peopleness. The development of the Marxist theory of party building is the fundamental requirement of the party’s nature and mission. The scientific summary of the CPC 80 years of historical experience is a new generalization of the advanced nature of the Party in the new era. Its scientific connotation includes developing the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, strengthening the socialist ideological and moral construction, inheriting and using all outstanding cultural achievements of mankind and Strengthen the building of socialist spiritual civilization and other content; this thesis sets the banner of the party’s ideological and spiritual advancement and sublimates the cultural orientation of Marxism
