“读这本书会使人愤愤不已,但没有人会无动于衷。”这是牛津大学卡拉科斯基教授对艾伦·布鲁姆的《走向封闭的美国精神》一书的评价。诚然如是。 号称象牙塔的大学几乎从其诞生之日起就成了汇聚精英、培养人才的摇篮,在这儿为一个个雄心万丈的学子奠定基础,在这儿架设起一座座通向成功彼岸之桥。在世界的诸多象牙塔中,美国的大学今日无论是从质量上看还是从数量上看都可以说是独领风骚,这只要看一看近几十年诺贝尔奖得主的“出身”即可明瞭。
