On December 27, 1999, when the bell of the new millennium was about to ring, the coast of Kunming Dianchi Lake filled with deep joy. With sincere, open arms, Yunnan welcomes guests from all sectors of the science and technology community across the country. They include 5 branches of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 66 experts from 23 research institutes and 120 experts from 15 universities.
