In this paper, the levels of lipid peroxidation (LPO), erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) in female workers exposed to benzene and toluene were measured and analyzed. The results are as follows: (1) LPO and SOD in the exposed female workers were significantly higher than those in the control group. Description of benzene, toluene so that female workers in the body lipid peroxidation reaction. (2) The WBC counts were negatively correlated with the levels of LPO, SOD and GSHPx, which suggested that WBC count decreased with lipid peroxidation. Therefore, the authors believe that the enhancement of lipid peroxidation is an important factor for the decrease of WBC counts caused by benzene and toluene. LPO and SOD are of great significance for the early detection of benzene and toluene on the human body.
