《全日制义务教育英语课程标准》指出:小学英语教学的目的是通过生动活泼的课堂教学活动,对学生进行基本的听、说、读、写训练,使学生打好语音、语调基础,掌握一定的词汇和最基本的语法知识,培养学生基本的日常会话能力以及拼读、拼写能力。同时,注重培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使他们喜欢学习英语和使用英语,为他们升入中学继续学习英语奠定初步的基础。
The English Curriculum Standard for Full-time Compulsory Education states that the purpose of primary school English teaching is to train students in basic listening, speaking, reading and writing through vivid and lively classroom teaching activities so that students can lay a solid foundation for their pronunciation and tone of voice and master certain Vocabulary and basic grammar knowledge, develop basic daily conversation skills and spelling, spelling ability. At the same time, they focus on cultivating students’ interest in learning English so that they like to learn English and use English to lay a preliminary foundation for their further study in English.
