中央人民政府政务院为克服我们国家财政经济的困难,特于三月三日作出关于统一国家财政经济工作的决定,北京人民日报以「为什么要统一国家财政经济工作」为题发表社论,全国各地各级政府机关即根据此决议精神陆续作了很多具体实施办法和规定。我中南地区为了贯彻统一财经工作决定,亦会于三月八日至十九日召开了中南财政会议,确定增加收入、减少支出、统一制度、物资调运四大任务;并采取各种有效措施:如各地贸易金库相继建立,整编、清仓、组织货币回笼,厉行生产节约,反对贪污浪费等。由于各地坚决地不折不扣地忠实执行这些决议,故虽在春荒时节,灾情严重,部份地区的工业遭受到敌机的轰炸破坏及我国尚未完全结束战争的情况下,使全国人民所希望的也是最关心的一九五零年的财政收支亦已接近平衡,金融物价逐步稳定,为国家经济建设和工商业的发展打下有力基础,并使人民生活获得安定。正如毛主席在中央人民政府第七次
