本文分三个方面对新文化运动时期胡适的国民性改造思想作了初步的梳理和分析,最后对其国民性改造思想作了较为客观的评价。认为胡适批判国民性弱点及传统文化的弊端,力图建设新的思想文化、塑造现代的“人”的思想,对于今天中国的社会主义精神文明建设,国民精神的重塑仍旧有着一定的启迪作用。
This article makes a preliminary analysis and analysis of Hu Shi’s thinking on the reform of the national character during the New Culture Movement from three aspects. Finally, he makes a more objective assessment of his idea of national character reform. It is still some enlightenment for Hu Shi to criticize the weaknesses of the nationalities and the disadvantages of traditional culture in an effort to build a new ideology and culture and to shape the modern “people” thinking, and to remould China’s socialist spiritual civilization and national spirit today effect.
