平湖油气田是由中国海洋石油总公司(以下简称“总公司”)与上海市政府、原新星石油公司共同出资组成上海石油天然气总公司(SPC),在我国东海海域建设开发的第一个海上油气田。平湖油气田的建设开发,不仅是解决上海市浦东地区民用燃气的重要措施,而且对加速我国东海油气资源的勘探开发,逐步改变上海市的能源结构,都有着十分重要的意义。国务院领导十分重视平湖油气田的开发,指定海洋石油总公司承担起开发的任务。
The Pinghu Oil and Gas Field is jointly funded by the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the head office”) and the Shanghai municipal government and the former Nova Oil Company to form the first offshore oil and gas field constructed and developed by Shanghai Petroleum & Natural Gas Corporation (SPC) in the waters of the East China Sea . The construction and development of Pinghu Oil and Gas Field is not only an important measure to solve the civil gas in Shanghai’s Pudong area but also plays an important role in accelerating the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in the East China Sea and gradually changing the energy structure in Shanghai. The leadership of the State Council attaches great importance to the development of Pinghu oil and gas field, and designated Offshore Oil Corporation to assume the task of development.
