周口地区潮土生态类型麦区,共802万亩,占本地区麦播面积的80％以上,约占全省麦播面积的八分之一。该麦区属黄淮冲积平原的一部分,地势平坦,土层深厚,气候适宜,是我省小麦生产潜力较大的麦区。但长期以来,小麦产量低而不稳。为了改变这个生产现状,自1981年,对实现小麦生产技术指标化和管理规范化,进行了试验研究,找出了影响小麦产量的主要因素,
