目前,对大型千分尺的平面平行性的检定,一般都采用钢珠量棒的检具来进行检定,其结构是利用内径千分尺的测微头。在检定中,要校准两钢珠成一直线,且垂直于被检千分尺的两测量面,测量四个位置,其差值作为该象限的不平行度,然后旋转测微头0.12——0.13毫米,又要校准钢珠的位置,方可进行第二象限的检定。再用上述方法,对其他二个象限进行检定。检定一把外径千分尺两测量面的不平行度,要三次旋转内径千分尺测微头和作四次钢珠位置的调整,在检定过程中带来了很大的不便。
