旅居加拿大的华人双语小说家李彦创作的长篇小说《嫁得西风》,描写了一群性格各异、观念不同的华人移民女性在枫叶国的生活经历和情感历程。她们有的毕生沉浸于对初恋情人的守望中;有的重复感受着爱人离去的失落;有的因理解的缺失,使婚姻陷入僵局。作者不仅对女性充满同情与怜惜,对男性也显示出理解与体谅。
