同学们都知道由詹天佑担任总工程师的京张铁路,是中国人自己设计和建筑的第一条铁路。但你知道中国铁路的发展历史吗?1876年,英国商人在上海修建的吴淞铁路(又称淞沪铁路)被认为是在中国土地上的第一条铁路。1881年河北省唐山开平矿务局为了运煤,修建了从唐山至胥各庄的唐胥铁路。这条长9.7千米的运煤铁路,被后人称为“中国铁路建筑史的正式开端”。
The students all know that the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, where Zhan Tianyou is chief engineer, is the first Chinese railway to design and construct. But do you know the history of the development of the Chinese railway? In 1876, the Wusong Railway (also known as the Songhu Railway) built by a British businessman in Shanghai was considered the first railway on Chinese land. In 1881, Kaiping Mining Bureau of Tangshan, Hebei Province built Tangxu Railway from Tangshan to Xugezhuang for coal transportation. This 9.7 kilometer long coal railroad is later called “the official beginning of the history of Chinese railway construction.”
