大兴沟林业局现有森林面积9.6万余公顷,总蓄积930万立方米。其中成熟林蓄积442万立方米,在成熟林蓄积中可供采伐利用的蓄积326万立方米,其中针叶树占27.14％,硬阔叶占45.42％,软阔叶占27.44％。建局二十四年来,年平均木材产量11.4万立方米、最高木材年产量14.1万立方米。现木材年产量12万立方米。根据现有成熟林中可供采伐利用蓄积日趋减少的情况下,今后年平均木材产量将降为9万立方米(商品材)。势必出现设备、人力有余。另外还有1100余名待业青年需要安置工作,因此,必须在发展木材综合利用上找出路,极积开展“三剩物”的生产利用工作。
