主编《中国当代自然科学人物总传》一书的想法,我在华中师范大学图书情报学系图书情报学专业读书的时候,就产生了。当时,除了完成学业之外,还担任了该校学生干部和华中师范大学《大学生学报》杂志主编。可想而知,时间于我,便是“一寸光阴一寸金”了。同时,从学术水平来看,一个大学生,要主编这部书,也是很难的。所以,一直到大学毕业,离开武汉,也没有着手去做这件事,这是后话,又是历史。光阴似箭,日月如梭,承蒙专家、学者们的厚爱,经过编者两年来的努力,现在,《中国当代自然科学人物总传》第一卷终于编辑完毕,即将出版了,本人有如释重负之感,借此机会,说几句话。
