孙中山无论在历史上还是在历史学界都是一个颇具争议的伟人。其生时,有人对其咬牙切齿,有人对其冷嘲热讽,有人对其顶礼膜拜;其逝世后,对领袖的“神化”运动更加深了对孙中山的评价难度。而韦慕庭教授的《孙中山——壮志未酬的爱国者》试图用最充分的文献资料来还原孙中山的原貌。该书用平实的笔触增加了我们对孙中山的认识,同时,也提醒我们,要理解孙中山的爱国之路,也必须加深对当时中国之具体历史语境的认知。
Sun Yat-sen is a controversial great man both historically and historically.
