国际海事组织(IMO)在其第18届大会上共通过了47项决议,其中绝大部分都是与实施国际公约有关的技术性决议。现将这些决议的标题及其主要内容整理如下,供有关方面参考。决议A.733(18)号,秘书长的任命。大会一致批准秘书长威廉·奥尼尔先生连任至1997年12月31日。决议A.734(18)号,与非政府组织的关系。大会批准了给予下列6个非政府组织以咨询地位,即:伊斯兰船东协会、国际干货船船东协会、国际游览船公司委员会、国际海运讲师协会、泛世界自然保护基金组织和内燃机欧洲制造商协会。这样一来,共有55个非政府组织
At its 18th General Assembly, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted a total of 47 resolutions, the vast majority of which are technical resolutions related to the implementation of international conventions. The titles of these resolutions and their main contents are now summarized below for reference by relevant parties. Resolution A.733 (18), Appointment of the Secretary-General. The Assembly unanimously approved the reappointment of the Secretary-General, Mr. William O’Neill, until 31 December 1997. Resolution A.734 (18), Relationship with non-governmental organizations. Congress approved the consultative status granted to the following six non-governmental organizations: Islamic Shipowners Association, International Dry Carrier Association, International Cruise Lines Corporation, International Association of Maritime Lectures, Pan-World Conservation Fund and European manufacturer of internal combustion engines association.
