The dawn of mechanical computing In our first issue of Computer Education, we introduced the outstanding contribution of the French scientist Blaise Pascal (1623-1662). He was a teenager who discovered many mechanics as a child. 1642 invented the gear addition and subtraction device called Pascaline.
