康国雄之父康心如是老同盟会会员,参加过辛亥革命,是重庆的历史名人。抗战时期曾任陪都临时参议会议长,同时也是大金融家,他经营的美丰银行在重庆家喻户晓。康国雄本人也有传奇经历。抗战期间,蒋介石喜其顽皮可爱, 每次在别墅山间散步都会找他陪同,还请他去家中吃饭玩耍,让蒋纬国陪同,这种交往持续了二三年。“文革”中康国雄被诬为“蒋介石的干儿子”,抄家、下放。
