初学写作者往往有这样一种想法:自己之所以写不出好文章,主要是因为缺乏写作的方法技巧,因而总想让老师传授一些写作“诀窍”。相反,写过一些文章的人,有的认为“文无定法”,对写作的方法技巧不屑一顾,甚至把方法技巧看作是束缚写作的“条条框框”。这两种看法都有片面性。写文章要讲究方法、技巧,也有规律可寻,但是没有秘方绝技。金代王若虚正确地阐明了这一问题。他在《文辨》中说:
Beginner writers tend to have the idea that the reason why they can not write a good article is mainly because they lack the methodological skills of writing and therefore always want the teacher to teach some writing tricks. On the contrary, some people who wrote some articles considered that “the law of no text” dismisses the methodological techniques of writing and even regards the methodological skills as a “regulatory framework” for binding writing. Both views are one-sided. Write articles to pay attention to methods, techniques, there are laws to find, but there is no secret stunt. Wang Ruoxu gold correctly illustrates this issue. He said in “Wen Wen”:
