糖替代品是指蔗糖或者糖浆之外能够产生甜味的可食用物质。一些合成的化学产品,甜度是蔗糖的几百倍,只要很少的用量就能提供人们所需要的甜度。这些物质也经常被叫做“甜味剂”。甜味剂对糖尿病人来说是安全的。它们的甜度是蔗糖的上百倍,不产生热量或者产生的热量完全可以忽略。但和其他食品添加剂一样,糖替代品也伴随着是否安全的争论。不同的糖替代品是完全不同的东西,不能一概而论。下面介绍使用最广泛的三种合成糖替代品。
Sugar substitutes refer to edible substances that produce sweetness other than sucrose or syrup. Some synthetic chemicals, which are hundreds of times sweeter than sucrose, provide the sweetness they need with only a small amount. These substances are also often called “sweeteners.” Sweeteners are safe for diabetics. Their sweetness is hundreds of times that of sucrose, with no heat or negligible heat. But like other food additives, sugar substitutes are accompanied by debate about whether it is safe. Different sugar substitutes are completely different things and can not be generalized. Here are the most widely used three kinds of synthetic sugar alternatives.
