Polarographic determination of bismuth has been reported using some electroactive substances formed by the reaction of some phenolic-based organic complexing agents with bismuth. In order to apply the analysis of trace bismuth in pig iron, we tested the derivative oscillopolarographic current peak of bismuth and tritriaster in acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer solution.
