[World Nuclear News Web Site June 29, 2015] On June 29, 2015, Gordon Campbell, High Commissioner for Natural Resources in Canada, and Lee McDonald, Director of the Nuclear Development Office of the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change, The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on civilian nuclear cooperation. The memorandum follows the principle of strengthening nuclear cooperation that the two countries emphasized in the 2014 joint statement and encourages and promotes the establishment of closer relations between government agencies, regulatory authorities, academics and financial institutions in the two countries.
