论文以54名武汉商学院商务英语专业大一和大二学生为对象,主要运用问卷调查法、访谈法、数据分析法,分析了大学生辨别英语口音能力和对英美口音的偏好态度。结果表明,在英美口音的辨别方式层面,大部分学生习惯根据语速、语感分辨英美口音,但在英美单词发音和语调上的分辨能力较弱。在英美口音偏好方面,学生对英式和美式口音没有明显的喜好差异,但运用较多的是美式英语,这与学生平时接触的影视作品和日常学习有关。
The thesis takes 54 freshmen and sophomores in business English major of Wuhan University of Commerce as the objects, and mainly uses questionnaire, interview and data analysis to analyze college students’ preference of accent and English preference. The results show that most English students are accustomed to distinguish Anglo-American accent from English accent according to speed of speech and sense of language, but their ability of resolving in pronunciation and intonation of English and American words is weak. In Anglo-American accent preferences, there is no obvious preference for English and American accents. However, the more common use is American English, which is related to the daily video and daily routine of students.
