高新技术产业是当今世界发展最快、最有生命力的朝阳产业之一,是人类社会中技术、智力、信息、知识等高级生产要素最为密集的产业。当前,我国正处于高新技术产业的飞速发展时期,到1998年,深圳、北京、上海、广州等四大城市的高新技术产值分别占当年全市工业总产值的35.4%、21.9%、16%和9.9%。高新技术产业已成为我国推动产业结构优化升级、实现经济增长方式根本转变的第一动力和新的经济增长点。
High-tech industry is one of the fastest growing and most viable sunrise industries in the world today. It is the most intensive industry in which high-level production factors such as technology, intelligence, information and knowledge are concentrated in human society. At present, our country is in a period of rapid development of high-tech industries. By 1998, the output value of high-tech industries such as Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou accounted for 35.4%, 21.9%, 16% and 9.9% of the total industrial output value of that year respectively %. High-tech industries have become the first impetus and a new point of economic growth in China's promotion and optimization of industrial structure and the fundamental transformation of the mode of economic growth.
