小账又称小费,而广东俗语更有几个其他称呼。我最欣赏是香港的一些老人家还应该记得“金梳”一词,是英语come shore(抵岸)的谐音。源于鸦片战争后,西洋鬼子群起乘船抵港,岸上的苦力就是这样叫,而跟着食肆的侍应也这样叫了。(后来“金梳”又以谐音翻为英语cumshaw,杀进英语字典,解作赏钱。)小账西方称gratuity或tips。有三类:自愿、强迫、竞投。自愿的小账是大家熟知的到餐厅进膳或到宾馆住宿给服务员的,是多是少由顾客决定。强迫是硬性地在价单之上加一个百分率,通常加十或十五。西方称服务费。有点怪,因为服务费已经算进餐价或房价,怎么再加呢?
