云南省电力技工学校是云南省唯一一所电力工业部部属国家级重点技工学校。主要为云南省电力系统生产和建设培养输送中级技术人才,学校筹建于1987年7月。办学规模为600人。学校经过十多年来的改建和扩建,占地面积由办学初期的17亩地扩大到目前78.5亩,原来的校舍均逐步重建。现有教学楼、实验楼、教学综合楼、实习工厂、实习电厂、学生宿舍、教工住宅等建筑面积达27847平方米,“九五”期间,拟计划再建1200平方米的图书楼,
Yunnan Electric Power Technical School is the only Ministry of Electric Power in Yunnan Province subordinate state-level key technical schools.
