读到张了先生对拙著的“中国猿人”、“河套人”和“山顶洞人”的书评使我十分兴奋。对我来说这是一个很好的学习。不过张先生的评语,有些地方和事实不符,我还应当提出来和张先生商讨。这三本书我是要修订的,但是要修订的地方,大部分并不是张先生所提出的。张先生综合了我的有关人类起源问题的意见是: 一、古猿原住中亚高原。二、爪哇猿人……中国猿人是由中亚古猿进化而来,他们又是现代人类的共同祖先。(这一段综合错了,爪哇猿人和中国猿人应分别说明,我在原书的一三七页中说道:“中国猿人与爪哇猿人之间的关系,最近由於中国猿人的研究已可判明,爪哇猿人是比中国猿人稍原始”。) 三、尼人和河套人应该是同一系统(类型)的人,现代人类自他们之後开始分枝,如由克罗马努人向白种人方向发展,由山顶洞人向蒙古人方
I was very excited to read Mr. Zhang’s book reviews on my clumsy “Chinese ape-man”, “Hetao people” and “cave people”. It is a good study for me. However, Mr Cheung’s comments, some places and facts do not match, I should also put forward to discuss with Mr. Zhang. I have to amend these three books, but most of the places to be amended are not those proposed by Mr Cheung. Mr. Zhang combined my opinion on the issue of human origin is: First, the apes living in the Central Asian plateau. Second, the Javanese ape-man ... ... Chinese ape is evolved from the ape of Central Asia, they are the common ancestor of modern humans. (This paragraph is wrong, Javanese ape-man and Chinese ape-man should explain separately, I said in the original book on page 137. “The relationship between Chinese ape-man and Javanese ape-man has recently been proven by Chinese ape-man studies. The Javanese ape-man Is a little primitive than the Chinese ape. ”) 3. The Nepalese and Hetao people should be people of the same system (type), and modern humans have branched since they were headed by the Cro-Magnus toward the Caucasians, People to the Mongol side
