2000年1月13～14日,中国钓鱼协会竞赛工作座谈会在京举行,《海上钓鱼比赛暂行办法》出台。 2000年6月8～24日,中钓协海钓考察组考察黄渤海海况鱼源。 2000年11月22～30日,中约协秘书长李万禄,副秘书长汤文洁、关秉宏访韩,与韩国钓鱼联盟达成双方结成姊妹协会及开展中韩海钓技术交流协议。 2000年12月13～18日,中钩协秘书长李万禄、副秘书长关秉宏等,陪同亚钓联会长小西和人、副会长木村诚三考察珠海,并确定2001年亚洲钓鱼大赛在珠海举行。 2001年4月8～12日,为迎接亚钓赛,中钓协在珠海举办首届“中韩矶钓技术培训班”。
