First, the introduction of fine material is the material basis for blast furnace operation. The physicochemical properties of man-made bonanza as blast furnace charge play a decisive role in blast furnace yield, quality and coke ratio. Evaluation of artificial rich ore quality indicators are the main strength, reduction and softening and so on. In recent ten years, with the increase of man-made rich ore in blast furnace charge, a great deal of experimental research has been done on the above properties, especially the reduction strength of sinter and pellet abroad. Some factories in Japan, Belgium, Sweden have used the reduction strength as one of the indicators to identify ore quality.
