今年是先父过世五十周年。他这一生的经历正反映了中国在二十世纪的历史。虽然在海峡两岸都有人写过他的故事,但对他的人生修养及治学与治世的根本理念却涉及不多。从他的日记、反省录以及与他相处的岁月中,可以知道他们那一代创造中华民国的人,都有很好的个人修养及清廉牺牲的精神,这与后继的贪官污吏及现代台湾政治人物的乱象是何等的比照。笔者将一些有历史意义的资料写出来,既可供研究历史的参考,也可作为今人的借镜,更可用来表达对先父的怀念。
This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of my father’s death. His life’s experience is a reflection of China’s history in the 20th century.
