时代的性质往往决定了偶像的性质。建国后的30年,从战斗英雄、生产标兵到雷锋,公众偶像的选择一直为意识形态所凌驾,偶像的塑造代表了有关部门的意志力。但随着改革开放和多元化价值理念的深入,特别是现代传播工具的发展,偶像逐渐从高坐云端般的不可亲近变成了面目清晰、有血有肉的正常人。从最初受到狂热追捧的港台明星,到后来发轫于中国民间各行各业的偶像,中国人经历了从被动接受,到自身创造的过程,偶像变成了一个个体的事情,他无关政治,无关官方,只关系自己。
